ABC Reading Adeventure
From the first time reader to the more advanced reader, ABC Reading works with students PreK-8th grade as they build their reading and writing foundation. Incorporating hands on manipulatives, and various reading and writing programs that include Orton-Gillingham, Wilson, and Fundations. Lessons are geared towards each age group and individual student's skills. For our Preschool students we work on letters/sounds, early phonics and handwriting. Using The Handwriting Without Tears program and various multi-sensory activities we help develop the student's early reading skills and prepare them for Kindergarten. If students are ready, blending CVC words and sight words will be introduced. With our older students we focus on mastering encoding and decoding skills using our various reading programs. Comprehension, fluency and writing skills will be developed using multi-sensory activities and various strategies. All lessons are private or semi-private and tailored towards to the student's level and individual goals.
